The Moxie
(Matthews) Museum has recently acquired from the collection of several
NEMC members a number of great Moxie items, many of which have now been
proudly added as enhancements to the museum displays. However, as would
be expected, many of the donated items are high-quality duplicates of
ones that are already on display, so there is now a sizeable stock of
distinctive Moxie-related goods which are now being offered for sale to
the general public. A catalog of these items begins on the next page.
To order items from this catalog, you must first establish email
communications with George Gross, the Museum president. His email is
njmoxie1@verizon.net . All orders and arrangements are handled through
him. Use the item ID numbers as shown in the catalog when referring to
specific items.
Because the Museum is only open in June and July, some items may not be
immediately available, but you can purchase these items for shipment or
for later pickup by selecting and paying for the items now and they will
be put on reserve for you. Shipping arrangements and cost will be
figured out, added, and paid for at the time of shipment.
Items ordered for later pickup will be put on reserve and then can be
picked up at the Museum in Union ME between June and August of 2023.
Arrangements for pickup will then be made through George Gross.
All payments must be paid by check, made out to Matthews Museum and sent
to George Gross, 17 Goodhue Lane, Barre VT 05641.
Please note that all proceeds from the sale of these items will be used
strictly for acquisitions and maintenance of the Moxie collection in the
Moxie wing of the Matthews Museum.
Many other Moxie-related items (hats, teeshirts, aprons, books, etc) are
available for ordering on-line through the Matthews Museum website (www.matthewsmuseum,org)
then clicking on "Moxie Shop" those items are handled separately from
those in this catalog.
This catalog does not include a number of additional items which may be
for sale, mainly a host of Moxie bottles of various vintages, bottle
caps, crates, paper goods, etc. Items of this nature are best purchased
on-site, but may be included by description. The key is to communicate
with George via email, and perhaps suitable arrangements can be made to
fit particular needs.
